Cultivating Emotional Awareness through Sound
This music-based intervention workshop is created on the belief that music is a bridge between mind, body, and emotion. By weaving together music medicine, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices, it nurtures a safe, supportive space for emotional awareness, self-discovery and growth. It also invites participants to learn to regulate nervous system through voice and sound. No music background is needed.
Key Activities
- Arrival reset: Gentle breath grounding & vocal mindfulness warm-Up, including humming & resonance exercises to support vagal activation
- Soundscape immersion: Fostering emotional attunement & connection through original thematic songs & shared musical rhythms
- Music-facilitated emotional processing: Guided techniques to cultivate emotional awareness & intelligence
- Closing circle: A reflective close with optional sharing, journaling, and affirmation practice
Duration: 1.5 hrs
Capacity: Up to 30 participants
Venue: Quiet indoor space such as an office meeting room, hotel conference room, or wellness studio.
